The Department of Sports Organization and Management of the University of Peloponnese is committed to providing high quality studies to its students, according to both the academic physiognomy and the orientation of its curriculum, in conjunction with the mission and strategic planning of the University of Peloponnese. The mission of the Department of Sports Organization and Management is:
a) to promote knowledge in the fields of sports science and the organization and administration of sports institutions.
b) to provide students with the necessary supplies that ensure their thorough training for scientific and professional career.
c) to organize postgraduate studies leading to the training of scientists with specialized knowledge in individual subjects of the department.
d) to contribute to the production of scientists capable of undertaking the organization and management of sporting events, institutions and companies at national and international level.


The quality assurance of the Department is achieved through:
• The Strategic Planning of the activities of the Department and - according to it - the annual action plans.
• Alignment with the principles, standards and guidelines for quality assurance of the Bologna Process, the national and European institutional framework.
• The Department’s commitment for the development of a culture of quality, both among the members of the academic community, and in its relations with the social partners with the aim of its continuous improvement.
• The code of ethics, which it follows and has been established at the Institutional level.
• Transparency and public information about his actions.

For the implementation of this policy the Department:

• Forms a modern and flexible curriculum that aims to connect the department with society and the labor market and increase the employability of its graduates.
• Identifies the learning outcomes of the program according to the National and European Qualifications Framework.
• Adopts a policy of rewarding the excellence of its students.
• Ensures the smooth academic career of students during their studies and monitors their careers after graduation.
• Supports the teaching and research activity of its faculty members and promotes the connection of teaching with research in the subjects dealt with by the science of Sportmanagement.
• Supports the research activity of doctoral students and promotes the results to all stakeholders related to the subject of Sportmanagement.
• Supports the connection with the local community through workshops, seminars and conferences aimed at disseminating the knowledge produced, contributing to the sustainable development of the wider region.
• Follows internal procedures that aim at the continuous improvement of the teaching and research work and its provided services.
• Collaborates with Internal Quality Assurance System (IQAS) of the University of Peloponnese for the annual review and internal inspection, incorporating on an annual basis all proposals to improve the quality of education and services provided by the department.

The Sportmanagement Department:
